Who is a Workplace Physician?
Occupational health and safety services are authorized to serve in the ministry, given the workplace doctor is a physician.
What are the duties of occupational safety specialists?
- Makes Consultancy on Occupational Health Inspection and Employee Health Surveillance.
- The canteen, refectory room, changing room, shower and toilet maintenance and cleaning of the necessary controls and makes recommendations.
- Provides advice on Occupational Health, Hygiene, Collective Protection Methods and Personal Protective Equipment.
- Carries out the health examinations which must be carried out in accordance with the legislation on the assessment and prevention of health hazards at the workplace.
- It enables the examination of porterals in order to prevent spreading and control of immunity in the control of contagious diseases in the workplace.
Workplace Physician Working Times
At least 5 minutes per employee per employee in the less hazardous class
– At least 10 minutes per employee per employee in hazardous class
– At least 15 minutes per employee per employee in very hazardous class
At least one occupational physician who will work full time is assigned to workplaces with 2000 or more workers in the less dangerous class. In case the number of workers is more than the full number of 2000, the number of workers remaining is taken into consideration and sufficient number of occupational physicians suitable for the hazard class is assigned.
At workplaces with 1000 or more workers in the hazardous class, at least one workplace physician is assigned to work for every 1000 workers. In case the number of workers is more than the full number of 1000, the number of workers shall be assigned to the danger class and the occupational physician shall be appointed as an addition.
At workplaces with 750 or more workers in a very dangerous classroom, at least one occupational physician is assigned to work for each 750 workers. In case the number of workers exceeds the number of 750, the number of workers is taken into consideration and sufficient number of occupational physicians suitable for the hazard class is assigned.
