CONFERENCE ON CHILD LABOR AGREEMENT IN SEASONAL AGRICULTURE

The conference on combating child labour in seasonal agriculture was held in cooperation with the Ministry of family, labour and Social Services and the International Labour Organization (ILO) in the context of “Comprehensive Model Project aimed at ending child labour in the worst forms in seasonal hazelnut farming in Turkey”.
Nurcan Önder, General Manager of the Ministry of family, labour and Social Services, and Nurcan Önder, general manager of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Nurman Özcan, Turkey director, and Ibrahim Demircan, Deputy Director of Employment Policies Department, attended the conference under the auspices of the related public institutions, University and non-governmental organizations.
The conference, which took place at a hotel in Ankara, continued with the panel titled “National and local struggle against child labour in seasonal agriculture: exemplary practices” and “ways of spreading child labour in seasonal agriculture: sustainable models and multilateral cooperation”.
During the conference, activities of 2018 were evaluated within the framework of combating child labour in seasonal agriculture. The participants made suggestions and suggestions on the dissemination of the struggle against child labour.
